What is Navigator?

Navigator locates each learner, maps a personalized route for mastery, and gives reroute suggestions based on performance until each learner reaches their destination. Navigator is inclusive and flexible by design; it provides a full spectrum of learning activities and resources to meet the needs of each learner at every competency. Instructors are integral in the learning process and can implement Navigator based on the best practices and norms of their learning environments and needs of their learners. Navigator empowers learners by giving them agency in their own journeys, allowing them to track their strengths and struggles while supporting individual growth towards mastery.

Transforming Learning

Navigator is a learning data backbone that provides real-time information to all stakeholders in order to accelerate outcomes for all learners and enables a closed-loop research and practice cycle. Every collaborator in the learning ecosystem is supported by Navigator’s real-time data and transparency to promote self-regulation and systemic change.

Real-time Feedback

Navigator integrates data dynamically and in real-time to curate personalized learning activities and supports. As a result, learners can track their progress, instructors can monitor and make suggestions, and administrators can view progress at the individual, class, district, regional, state, and national levels. Additionally, researchers can access anonymized data to perform their own queries and analyses, while content providers can monitor the efficacy of their materials and practices. As metrics and findings are shared, innovation can occur at all levels to accelerate learning outcomes.

Inclusive by Design

We designed Navigator to work for all learners, regardless of the skills they possess or the challenges they face. It also works in all environments, from remote areas with limited technology and connectivity to device- and broadband-rich environments. Navigator works across learning disciplines from pre-K to professionals and in all languages. These capabilities, along with Navigator’s full spectrum of activities and resources, promote learning across skill levels, disciplines, and geographies.
